Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, accessing, or using BorderSoul (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorised use.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract our scripture, ritual, or panchang data for redistribution.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App or its infrastructure.
• Use the AI Dharma Guide to generate harmful, hateful, or misleading content, or to impersonate real people.
• Upload content that infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy rights.

4. Content & the AI Guide

Scripture translations, ritual guides, and Aarti texts are provided for personal, devotional, and educational use. The AI Dharma Guide generates responses based on the app's data and general knowledge; while we ground answers in cited scripture where possible, responses may occasionally be incomplete or imperfect, and should not be treated as a substitute for guidance from a qualified priest, scholar, or spiritual teacher on ceremonial or doctrinal matters.

5. Intellectual property

The App's design, software, curated translations, and original content are owned by BorderSoul or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Public-domain scripture text remains public domain; our specific translations, formatting, and commentary are not.

6. Subscriptions & payments

Core features are free to use. If we introduce premium features or subscriptions, pricing, billing terms, and cancellation policy will be clearly disclosed in-app before you're charged, and will be processed through the applicable app store (Google Play / App Store) or a listed payment provider.

7. Spiritual & religious disclaimer

BorderSoul aims to represent Hindu scripture, rituals, and traditions accurately and respectfully, drawing on established texts and sources. Interpretations can vary across regions, lineages, and communities; nothing in the App should be treated as the sole or final authority on religious practice. For ceremonies with legal, medical, or significant personal consequences, please consult a qualified priest or professional.

8. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abusive behaviour, or pose a security risk, with notice where reasonably possible.

9. Limitation of liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BorderSoul is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including reliance on AI Guide responses or muhurat/panchang calculations.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. We'll update the "Last updated" date and, for significant changes, notify you in-app or by email before they take effect.
